Help Us!
We actively welcome help from adults, not just parents of young people in our unit. All adults who help in Scouting are offered and receive appropriate training and support. Where adults work actively with young people, the Scout Association provides CRB clearance and appropriate training.
Most leaders and adult assistants will into their fitments to Scouting around many other things in very busy lives.
Our unit is particularly looking for adults who can commit to a couple of hours each week in order to fill the following roles:
1. a membership secretary to keep our records up to date, on paper and online
2. a quartermaster to manage our equipment, storage, and purchases
3. a fund-raising manager to organise and account for a fund-raising activities
For our major camps, which are approximately 3 times a year, there are always opportunities to help us with driving, kit, and the inevitable post-camp cleanups.
For a fund-raising activities, which include catering and public events, evenings such as this, and many other “on street” activities, we are always looking for adults who can assist and pass skills on to the young people who will be busy raising money for themselves.
If you think you can help (and we can assure you that you are almost certain to enjoy it if you do) then please get in touch with anyone of the leaders either at this event, or through the contact details below.
THANK YOU
Thank you for supporting our young people in Explorers today.
