Anomalous Unit Explorers – Going where Explorers have not gone, in an unusual manner

We are a mixed Explorer Scout Unit for young people aged 14 to 18 based in Bedfordshire. Our Mission is to deliver first class adventurous Scouting to our members.

Adj. 1. Anomalous – deviating from the general or common order or type; “advanced forms of life may be anomalous in the universe”

abnormal, unnatural – not normal; not typical or usual or regular or conforming to a norm; “abnormal powers of concentration”; “abnormal amounts of rain”; “abnormal circumstances”; “an abnormal interest in food”

Our Unit Colour are black, white, purple and were chosen, and proudly worn, by our Unit members in September 2008.

The Unit Logo is the Mandarin Chinese symbol for “mystery” Mandarin: shén mì
