None of us is quite sure how Suzi managed to convince Sweyn, David, and Mark to walk the Greensand Ridge PLUS 10 miles, in order to get to a 50 mile distance

We always like to help our young people get to their ambitions (Suzi’s is to get to Botswana as part of the UK-Africa trip in 2012) . To get there, she needs to raise about £3,000

Sponsorship will help, we agree. But 50 miles? 22 hours? In the dark? In the RAIN? WE MUST BE BONKERS

But we did it, and we all finished.

Massive thanks to:

  • Andy Martin – dad, front runner, lead flag carrier and indestructible force
  • Kate Martin – support car, catering, cheer, goodwill and smiles
  • Georgie – who started with us and bought some smiles
  • Zoe, Matt and Jemma – who walked many many miles to keep our spirits up, held our hands and told us jokes.
  • The Green Dragon in Eversholt who saw us walking past in the rain and had a bar whipround for us!

This is the whole route (note that we turned back and ended at Northill) and it is shared on Runkeeper so you can see how bonkers we were to do it.

So, what next? 100 miles?
